Licensing – gaining a shooters licence

Cost associated with a firearms Licence and the rules governing what you can do as a shooter are strict and if you open this link to NSW Firearms Licences, it will provide full details of what is required to further gain a shooter licence within NSW.

Renewing your Firearms Licence

The Firearms Registry will send you a letter when your licence is within 90 days of expiring. They will send you a second letter within 30 days of your licence expiring. If you haven’t renewed it within 7 days of its expiry date, they will send you an SMS reminder or contact you by phone.

You must lodge your online renewal application before the licence expiry date. This is necessary so that your authority to possess or use firearms under your current licence will continue, while your renewal is being processed.

When renewing your licence you may need the following club information;

Collecting Club Licence is 406732535
Hunting Club Licence is 406732423
Pistol Sport/Target Club Licence is 409610736
